Born on March 23, 1974, to Sir Ambrose and Lady Maria Ejiogu of Umuakuru, Emekuku, Owerri, Tony Ejiogu is the third out of nine children. He attended Imo State University Primary School in Aba and St. Peter Claver Seminary at Okpala for his secondary education before pursuing further studies in the United States.

Ejiogu obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from the University of Akron, Ohio. He continued his academic pursuits and earned a Master’s degree in Administration from Bowie State University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland. His thirst for knowledge demonstrates his dedication to personal growth and his ability to apply diverse perspectives to problem-solving.

In his career, Ejiogu started as an Investigative Business Consultant with Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, where he gathered credit information on businesses and provided comprehensive reports widely used for government transactions and business assessments.

He later joined Booz-Allen & Hamilton Corp as a Program Financial Analyst, supporting the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command in financial management and data analysis for Department of Defense systems.

Venturing into the fields of investment, finance, and consultancy, Ejiogu provided investment services, including mortgage-backed securities, to clients worldwide. He also worked as a Program Financial Consultant with the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES), supporting electoral democracy and managing projects in the Middle East and North Africa region.

In 2011, he established E-Horizon Consulting Limited, a financial management and business development consultancy firm focused on catalyzing economic development.

Ejiogu’s experience in public service includes serving as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Administration to Governor Ikedi Ohakim, where he played a crucial role in formulating government policies, managing personnel, and gaining insights into the flaws and potential improvements in the state’s civil and public service system.

This experience provided him with a deep understanding of administration and a desire to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tony Ejiogu leads a humble Christian life and respects the culture and traditions of his people. He actively engages in philanthropic gestures, social interventions, education projects, and manpower capacity development, demonstrating his commitment to the growth and development of his community.
